One system for cold, warm and filtered air Qlima Monoblock WDH 229 is not an 'ordinary air conditioner'. It is an air conditioning system. That means you can always influence the room temperature all year round. On sunny summer days, this air conditioning unit provides cooling in no time. On colder spring or autumn days, you make it cosily warm by using the heat pump extra. This eliminates the need to turn up the heating a few degrees. Don't think of it as main heating, because the Monoblock is not made for really harsh winter weather, its heating capacity is no match for that. Healthy for you and your home When you have the Monoblock on cooling mode, the air is also automatically ventilated, dehumidified and cleaned. This is good for your own health, but also for that of the room itself. Not ventilating properly is more likely to cause dampness and mould. In a ventilated house, these don't have a chance. An air conditioner or a heat pump? Most people will say "I bought a great airco now!" when talking about the Qlima WDH229 Monoblock. Airco is front of mind, as the cooling function is the most commonly used. But technically, it is a heat pump. That's what we call all air-conditioned systems that can cool as well as heat. The Qlima WDH229 Monoblock Air Conditioner has two separate airflows, completely separated from each other. One draws cooling air from outside. Heat from inside is removed to the outside. When it gets colder, you easily reverse that process. The refrigerant then flows in the other direction. In that case, the heat pump extracts heat from the outside air and blows the warm air inside.
