Fan Heater: Super-fast Targeted Warmth

When you want to warm up a room quickly, a fan heater is hard to beat. This compact heater blows warm air directly into the room, so you can feel the difference within minutes. Point it towards your feet, for example, and they’ll warm up in no time.

Fan heaters are also lightweight and easy to move from one room to another. With various designs and models available, there’s a suitable option for almost every space.

How Does a Fan Heater Work?

A fan heater works by drawing in air from the room and passing it over a heating element. A built-in fan then blows the heated air back into the room, quickly distributing warmth throughout the space.

Its operation is similar to that of a turbo convection heater. However, there is an important difference: many fan heaters can be tilted, allowing you to direct the warm airflow exactly where you need it.

Compact and Easy to Move

Thanks to its compact size and low weight, you can easily take a fan heater wherever extra warmth is needed. Use it in the laundry room, shed, attic or another smaller space that you only use occasionally.

A fan heater is particularly useful when you want immediate additional warmth without heating the entire house. Once you switch the heater off, it stops producing heat straight away.

For additional safety, the heater automatically switches off if its temperature becomes too high, thanks to built-in overheating protection.

Automatic Shut-off and Thermostat

Some Qlima fan heaters feature a built-in thermostat. This means you don’t have to keep checking whether the room has reached the desired temperature.

Simply set the preferred temperature and the thermostat will regulate the heater for you. Once the set temperature is reached, the heater automatically switches off. Depending on the model, you may even be able to control the heater from the comfort of your sofa using a remote control.

Electric, Gas or Fuel Heater?

An electric heater is a good choice when you want to quickly increase the temperature of a room by a few degrees. Most electric heaters have a maximum power output of around 2 kW.

If you need more heating power, a fuel heater may be more suitable. These heaters generally offer a higher output and can heat larger spaces.

A gas heater can provide up to approximately 4.2 kW of heating power. However, gas heaters are generally larger and heavier, making them less convenient to move. You’ll also need gas bottles to operate them.

The best choice therefore depends on the size of the room, how quickly you want to heat it and how important portability is to you.
