Dehumidifiers that work well in places like the bedroom are rarely suitable for colder spaces. Is the area you want to dehumidify colder than 15 degrees Celsius? Then you need a special adsorption dehumidifier, like the Qlima DD 808.

How does an adsorption dehumidifier work?

The Qlima DD 808 is a powerful adsorption dehumidifier, making it highly suitable for colder spaces. All you have to do is set the desired humidity level, and the DD 808 does the rest! The fan draws in air, which is then blown through a rotating silica gel disc. This disc absorbs moisture from the airflow, so the air released is no longer humid.

Part of the rotating disc is continuously heated, causing the absorbed moisture to evaporate. Once this water vapor cools down again, condensation occurs, and the reservoir collects the moisture. This cycle keeps repeating.

Dehumidifier and air purifier

The Qlima DD 808 not only maintains the humidity level in colder spaces, helping you avoid a lot of hassle, but it also serves as an air purifier. With a built-in air filter, it attracts both small and large dust particles. This improves air quality, reduces allergies, and freshens up the space. This feature is especially useful in smaller spaces like a caravan or cabin, where fresh air is a must.

 

Adsorption dehumidifier for basements or garages

Many dehumidifiers work best in rooms with higher temperatures, such as bedrooms or living rooms. Do you need a dehumidifier for your basement or garage? In most cases, these devices aren't suitable. The Qlima DD 808 is a special adsorption dehumidifier and performs optimally in areas below 15 degrees Celsius. Basements or garages can get quite cold, especially in the winter months, and attract excess moisture. With the DD 808, you can prevent moisture damage even at low temperatures.

 

Good to know

The Qlima DD 808 works best in spaces up to 75 m³. With a ceiling height of 2.5 meters, that’s about 30 m². The device can extract about 8 liters of moisture from the air per day. Once the reservoir fills up after about 2 liters, it automatically shuts off. You can also connect a drainage hose to continuously remove moisture, so you don’t have to empty the reservoir.
